In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Someone Else’s Island.”
If I could send my friend/loved ones any five items on a deserted island, I would send a variety of items. First a SAS Survival Guide Book to help them bear through those hard nights searching for some grub or simply a drink of water. Along with this a MSR Miniworks EX Water Purifier pump, being water is the most crucial element to surviving along an island. Especially if the only source of rainwater is a few murky puddles. Along with this a bug proof, water proof, backpacking tent to provide shelter from the storms or wind, while remaining portable. Finally an emergency Fishing and Tackle kit to provide food if the plant and land fauna were to be abundant. With these five items I would hope for the best, that my friend/loved one would have everything needed to survive long enough to be found and rescued from their perilous island.
